রওয়ানা হলো ত্রিপুরা স্পোর্টস স্কুলের ফুটবলাররা। দেশের রাজধানী দিল্লির উদ্দেশ্যে। ১৬ সেপ্টেম্বর থেকে দিল্লিতে শুরু হতে চলেছে অনূর্ধ্ব ১৭ বালকদের সুব্রত মুখার্জি কাপ ফুটবল প্রতিযোগিতা। ওই আসরে অংশ নিতে বৃহস্পতিবার সকালে ট্রেনে আকাশ ত্রিপুরার নেতৃত্বে রওয়ানা হলো ত্রিপুরার সেরা এই স্কুলের ফুটবলাররা। আগরতলা রেল স্টেশনে ফুটবলারদের অগ্রিম শুভেচ্ছা জানাতে উপস্থিত ছিলেন রাজ্য স্কুল স্পোর্টস বোর্ডের যুগ্ম সচিব অপু রায় এবং শুভেনজিত সিনহা। ১৪ সেপ্টেম্বর দেশের রাজধানীতে পৌছবে স্পোর্টস স্কুলের ফুটবলাররা। এদিকে দুর্ঘটনায় আহত হওয়ায় দলের সঙ্গে যেতে পারেননি ম্যানেজার আবু তাহের। সম্ভবত ১৪ সেপ্টেম্বর দিল্লি যাবেন আবু তাহের। এক ঝাঁক নতুন মুখ নিয়ে এ বছর সুব্রত মুখার্জি কাপ ফুটবলে খেলতে গেলো ত্রিপুরা স্পোর্টস স্কুলের দল। কোচ রাজেশ রায় চৌধুরী মনে করেন, নবাগত ফুটবলাররা হলেও দলের প্রতিটি ফুটবলার যথেষ্ট লড়াকু। ব্যক্তিগত দক্ষতার উপর আমার দল নির্ভর নয়। সম্মিলিত প্রচেষ্টায় সাফল্য পাচ্ছে দল। চেষ্টা করা হবে দিল্লিতেও যাতে সাফল্য পায় ছেলেরা। দিল্লি রওয়ানা হওয়ার আগে বেশ কয়েকটি প্রস্তুতি ম্যাচ খেলেছিলো স্পোর্টস স্কুলের ফুটবলাররা। তাতেও সাফল্য পায়। দলনায়ক আকাশ ত্রিপুরা ভালো খেলা নিয়ে যথেষ্ট আশাবাদী। ত্রিপুরার সম্মান রক্ষার পাশাপাশি আসরে ভালো খেলে ফিরে আসার ফুটবলারদের পরামর্শ দেন রাজ্য স্কুল স্পোর্টস বোর্ডের যুগ্ম সচিব অপু রায়। স্পোর্টস স্কুল দল : অংকুর দাস, রায়াল দেববর্মা, রাহুল ত্রিপুরা, জেসে দেববর্মা, শাবিক ইসলাম, আকাশ ত্রিপুরা (অধিনায়ক), প্রনজিৎ ত্রিপুরা, থাচন্দ্র রিয়াং, বং লাল রিল হালাম, ইমানুয়েল ত্রিপুরা, নাইস সিং জমাতিয়া, সালমা জমাতিয়া, নাইথক জমাতিয়া, জন জমাতিয়া এবং বিশু জমাতিয়া। কোচ: রাজেশ রায় চৌধুরী। ম্যানেজার; আবু তাহের।
