ত্রিপুরার প্রথম কোচ হিসেবে ‘বি’ লাইসেন্স পাশ করলেন আবু তাহের। ৫৪ বছর বয়সী আবু তাহের ময়দানে এক সময় রক্ষণভাগের লড়াকু ফুটবলার হিসাবে পরিচিত ছিলেন। বর্তমানে তিনি ত্রিপুরা স্পোর্টস স্কুলের ফুটবল কোচ। সোনামুড়ার বাসিন্দা আবু তাহের মঙ্গলবার এক সাক্ষাৎকারে বলেন, এখন আমার লক্ষ্য ত্রিপুরা স্পোর্টস স্কুলকে আরও কিভাবে এগিয়ে নেওয়া যায়। ‘বি’ লাইসেন্স করতে গিয়ে যা যা শিখেছি তা সব ঢেলে দেবো স্পোর্টস স্কুলের ফুটবলারদের উপর। যাতে এখানের ফুটবলাররা আরও উন্নতি করতে পারে। পাশাপাশি রাজ্য ফুটবল সংস্থা যদি আমাকে ডাকে আমি চেষ্টা করবো ত্রিপুরার ফুটবলকেও কিছুটা এগিয়ে নিয়ে যেতে। সন্তোষ ট্রফি ফুটবলে দল পাঠাতে হলে দরকার ‘বি’ লাইসেন্স কোচ। আবু তাহের পাশ করায় রাজ্য ফুটবল সংস্থায়ও কিছুটা স্বস্তি লক্ষ্য করা গেছে।
