খোয়াই সরকারি দ্বাদশ শ্রেণি বিদ্যালয়ের খেলার মাঠে শনিবার থেকে শুরু হলো ৪৭ তম স্বর্গীয় কৃষ্ণ সাহা এবং ৩৮ তম স্বর্গীয় মিলন রানী সাহা স্মৃতি রাজ্যভিত্তিক পুরুষ ও মহিলা ভলিবল চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপ। রাজ্যের আটটি জেলা থেকে আসা ছেলে ও মেয়েদের দল এই প্রতিযোগিতায় অংশ নিয়েছে।
প্রতিযোগিতার আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধন করেন বিধায়ক পিনাকী দাস চৌধুরী। বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে উপস্থিত ছিলেন ওয়াকফ বোর্ডের চেয়ারম্যান মবশ্বর আলী, ত্রিপুরা ভলিবল অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সভাপতি প্রদীপ চন্দ, সাধারণ সম্পাদক বিমান দেব, ত্রিপুরা ভলিবল অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের উপদেষ্টা কমিটির কনভেনর স্বপন চক্রবর্তী এবং খোয়াই জেলা ভলিবল অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের সভাপতি অনিমেষ নাগ সহ আরো অনেক অতিথিবৃন্দ।
উদ্বোধনী দিনের প্রথম ম্যাচে মহিলা বিভাগে সিপাহিজলা জেলা দক্ষিণ জেলাকে পরাজিত করে জয়লাভ করে। অন্যদিকে, পুরুষ বিভাগের টানটান উত্তেজনাপূর্ণ ম্যাচে পশ্চিম জেলাকে হারিয়ে জয় ছিনিয়ে নেয় ধলাই জেলা।আয়োজক কমিটির পক্ষ থেকে জানানো হয়েছে, আগামী দিনগুলোতে আরও আকর্ষণীয় ম্যাচ দেখার অপেক্ষায় রয়েছেন ক্রীড়ামোদী জনতা।
