আসামে বিধ্বস্ত ত্রিপুরা। ওই রাজ্যের ডিপুতে অনুষ্ঠিত রাজমাতা জিজাবাই জাতীয় সিনিয়র মহিলা ফুটবলে। শনিবার সন্ধ্যায় কাঁছা স্টেডিয়ামের ফ্লাড লাইটে অনুষ্ঠিত ম্যাচে গ্রুপের সবথেকে শক্তিশালী দল অসমের বিরুদ্ধে প্রথমার্ধের ত্রিপুরার ফুটবলাররা লড়াই করলেও দ্বিতীয়ার্ধে হাল ছেড়ে দেন। ম্যাচের শেষ ১০ মিনিটে ত্রিপুরা পাঁচটি গোল হজম করে। শেষ পর্যন্ত অসমের বিরুদ্ধে ত্রিপুরা পরাজিত হয় ৭-০ গোলে। প্রথমার্ধে ত্রিপুরা পিছিয়ে ছিল ২-০ গোলে। খেলা শেষে ডিপু থেকে টেলিফোনে ত্রিপুরার কোচ ইন্দ্রজিৎ সূত্রধর বলেন, মেয়েরা যথেষ্ট ভালো খেলা চেষ্টা করেছে। আমাদের থেকে প্রতিপক্ষ দল সব বিভাগেই ছিল এগিয়ে। যার ফলে শেষ দশ মিনিট আর মেয়েরা টানতে পারেনি। এরই খেসারত দিতে হয়েছে আমাদের। তবে প্রথম ম্যাচের তুলনায় এদিন অনেকটাই ভালো খেলেছে শ্রীয়া দেব-রা। পরপর দুই ম্যাচে পরাজিত হয়ে আসর থেকে ছিটকে গেল ত্রিপুরা। ৮ সেপ্টেম্বর গ্রুপ লিগে নিজেদের শেষ ম্যাচে ত্রিপুরা খেলবে মিজোরামের বিরুদ্ধে।
