বর্ণাঢ্য এক অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্য দিয়ে ত্রিপুরা অলিম্পিক অ্যাসোসিয়েশনও পালন করেছে জাতীয় ক্রীড়া দিবস। মন মাতিয়ে দেওয়ার মতো এক অনুষ্ঠান। দিব্যাঙ্গ ক্রীড়াবিদদের সংবর্ধিত করার মধ্য দিয়ে ত্রিপুরা অলিম্পিক এসোসিয়েশন অনুষ্ঠানে আরও একটু বিশেষ মাত্রা এনে দিয়েছে। বিকেল সাড়ে তিনটায় রাজধানীর রেডক্রস সোসাইটি অডিটোরিয়ামে আয়োজিত এই বিশেষ বর্ণাঢ্য জাতীয় ক্রীড়া দিবস উদযাপন অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান ও বিশেষ অতিথি হিসেবে ত্রিপুরা অলিম্পিক অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের চেয়ারম্যান রতন সাহা, সভাপতি পদ্মশ্রী দীপা কর্মকার, সহ-সভাপতি তথা স্পোর্টস কাউন্সিলের জয়েন্ট সেক্রেটারি স্বপন সাহা, রাজ্য ক্রীড়া পর্ষদের সচিব সুকান্ত ঘোষ, রাজ্যের প্রথম অর্জুন জিমন্যাস্ট মন্টু দেবনাথ, বিশিষ্ট সমাজ সেবক কমল দে, দিব্যাঙ্গ সংস্থার ঊর্ধ্বতন কর্তৃপক্ষ শ্রীমতি শংকরী রায়, রাজীব ঘোষ, যুব বিষয়ক ও ক্রীড়া দপ্তরের সহ অধিকর্তা ধীমান বিশ্বাস প্রমুখ উপস্থিত ছিলেন। দিব্যাঙ্গ ক্রীড়াবিদ হিসেবে স্বপন সরকার, দীপক বৈদ্য, স্বপন ঘোষ, দিপ্তেন্দু বিশ্বাস, সুমন দত্ত, অনুজ ঘোষ, রাজীব ঘোষ, পঙ্কজ রায়-কে আজ সংবর্ধিত করা হয়েছে। প্রত্যেক অতিথিবৃন্দ তাঁদের বক্তৃতায় ত্রিপুরা অলিম্পিক অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের দারুন এই অনুষ্ঠানের ভূয়ষী প্রশংসা করেন। ত্রিপুরা অলিম্পিক এসোসিয়েশনের জেনারেল সেক্রেটারি সুজিত রায়, আজকের এই উল্লেখযোগ্য দিনে হকির যাদুকর ধ্যান চাঁদ সিংয়ের জন্মদিন পালন তথা জাতীয় ক্রীড়া দিবস উদযাপন অনুষ্ঠান করতে পেরে সংশ্লিষ্ট সকলকে আন্তরিক ধন্যবাদ জানিয়েছেন। পরিশেষে খুদে- কচিকাঁচা খেলোয়ারদের সঙ্গে নিয়ে সকল বিশিষ্ট অতিথিবৃন্দ কেক কেটে জাতীয় ক্রীড়া দিবসকে সুষ্ঠুভাবে উদযাপন করেন।
