মোহনপুর মহকুমাকে নকআউট করে সেমিফাইনালে উঠলো তেলিয়ামুড়া মহকুমা। বৃহস্পতিবার মোহনপুর মহকুমাকে ৭ উইকেটে পরাজিত করলো তেলিয়ামুড়া মহকুমা। রাজ্য সিনিয়র ক্রিকেটের এলিট গ্রুপে। টি আই টি মাঠে মুখোমুখি হয়েছিল দু দল। দু-দলের কাছেই ছিল ম্যাচটি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। সেমি ফাইনালের টিকিট পেতে হলে জয় ছাড়া বিকল্প কোনও পথ ছিল না দু-দলের সামনে। পামীর দেবনাথের বিধ্বংসী বোলিংয়ে তেলিয়ামুড়া মহকুমাকে জয় এনে দিতে মুখ্য ভূমিকা নেন। এদিন সকালে প্রথমে ব্যাট করার সুযোগ পেয়ে তেলিয়ামুড়া মহকুমা ১৩৯ রান করেছিল ।জবাবে খেলতে নেমে বৃষ্টির জন্য মোহনপুর মহকুমার সামনে লক্ষ্য মাত্রা দাঁড়ায় ৩৩ ওভারে ৯৩ রান। মোহনপুর মহকুমা শেষ পর্যন্ত ৮৬ রান করতে সক্ষম হয়। বিজয়ী দলের পামীর দেবনাথ ৫ উইকেট দখল করেন। এদিন সকালে প্রথম ব্যাট করার সুযোগ পেয়ে তেলিয়ামুড়া মহকুমা ১৩৯ রান করেছিল। দলের পক্ষে মিন্টু দেবনাথ ৪৬ বল খেলে চারটি বাউন্ডারি ও একটি ওভার বাউন্ডারির সাহায্যে ৩৯, ধীমজিৎ দাস ৪৮ বল খেলে দুটি বাউন্ডারি সাহায্যে ২৯, অর্জুন দাস চল্লিশ বল খেলে একটি ওভার বাউন্ডারির সাহায্যে ১৭ এবং ওমকার মল্লিক ২৫ বল খেলে একটি বাউন্ডারি ও একটি ওভার বাউন্ডারির সাহায্যে ১৫ রান করেন। দল অতিরিক্ত খাতে পায় ১৪ রান। মোহনপুর মহকুমার পক্ষে সন্দীপ সরকার ২৮ রানে চারটি, সুভাষ চক্রবর্তী ২৫ রানে তিনটি এবং সৌরভ দাস ৩৩ রানে দুটি উইকেট দখল করেন। জবাবে খেলতে নেমে মোহনপুর মহকুমা ৮৬ রান করতে সক্ষম হয়। দলের পক্ষে সন্দীপ সরকার ৫২ বল খেলে তিনটি বাউন্ডারির সাহায্যে ৩০ এবং অজয় সরকার ৫৪ বল খেলে দুটি বাউন্ডারি সাহায্যে ২৩ রান করেন। শুরুতেই মোহনপুর মহকুমার কোমর ভেঙ্গে দেন পামীর দেবনাথ। এক সময় ১৮ রানে ৫ উইকেট হারিয়ে। তেলিয়ামুড়া মহকুমার পক্ষে পামীর দেবনাথ ১৭ রানে পাঁচটি এবং শুভম ঘোষ ২০ রানে ২ টি উইকেট দখল করেন। তিন ম্যাচ খেলে চার পয়েন্ট নিয়ে ‘বি’ গ্রুপের দ্বিতীয় হয়ে সেমিফাইনালে উঠলো তেলিয়ামুড়া মহকুমা। ওই গ্রুপ থেকে জয়ের হ্যাটট্রিক করে ৬ পয়েন্ট নিয়ে প্রথম দল হিসেবে সেমিফাইনালে উঠেছছিলো সদর মহকুম।
