মরশুমের প্রথম চ্যাম্পিয়ন ট্রফি ঘরে তুললো কসমোপলিটন ক্লাব। ও পি সি-র বিরুদ্ধে খেতাব নির্ণয়ের ম্যাচে প্রথম ইনিংসে লিড নিয়ে। রাজ্য ক্রিকেট সংস্থা আয়োজিত প্রথম ডিভিশন লিগ ক্রিকেটের সুপার ফোরে। টি আই টি মাঠে অনুষ্ঠিত ম্যাচে কসমোপলিটনের গড়া ১৭৮ রানের জবাবে ও পি সি প্রথম ইনিংসে ১৩৩ রান করেছিল। ৪৫ রানে এগিয়ে থেকে কসমোপলিটন দ্বিতীয় ইনিংসের চার উইকেটে ৯৯ রান করার পর দু দলের অধিনায়ক সম্মতিক্রমে ম্যাচটি অমীমাংসিত হবে শেষ হয়। সুপার ফোরে তিন ম্যাচে প্রথম ইনিংসে লিড নিয়ে অপরাজিতভাবে খেতাব দখল করলো কসমোপলিটন ক্লাব। মরশুমে দুটি আসরে রানার্স খেতাব জয়ের পর এবার চ্যাম্পিয়ন ট্রফি পেলো কসমোপলিটন ক্লাব। কসমোপলিটনে ১৭৮ রানে জবাবে প্রথম দিনের শেষে চাপে ছিল ও পিসি। শেষ পর্যন্ত ও পিসি ৫৩ ওভারে ১৩৩ করতে সক্ষম হয়। দলের পক্ষে নবারুণ চক্রবর্তী ৫৫ বল খেলে দুটি ওভার বাউন্ডারির সাহায্যে ২৫, শুভম ঘোষ চল্লিশ বল খেলে দুটি বাউন্ডারির সাহায্যে ২৩, অর্কদ্যুতি দেব ৬১ বল খেলে একটি বাউন্ডারির সাহায্যে ২২, সপ্তজিৎ দাস একটি বাউন্ডারির সাহায্যে ১৯ রান করেন। কসমোপলিটনের পক্ষে রিয়াদ হোসেন ২০ রানে এবং কৃষ্ণধন নম ৫৮ রানে চারটি করে উইকেট দখল করেন। ৪৫ রানে এগিয়ে থেকে ম্যাচের শেষ বল পর্যন্ত ২১ ওভার ব্যাট করে কসমোপলিটন ক্লাব দ্বিতীয় ইনিংসের চার উইকেট হারিয়ে ৯৯ রান করে। দলের পক্ষে ওপেনার তন্ময় দাস ৭০ বল খেলে তিনটি বাউন্ডারি ও তিনটি ওভার বাউন্ডারির সাহায্যে ৫০ রানে অপরাজিত থেকে যান। এছাড়া দলের পক্ষে বাবুল দে ৪৬ বল খেলে তিনটি বাউন্ডারির সাহায্যে ৩১ রান করেন।
