দুরন্ত সাফল্য অর্জন করলো ত্রিপুরা । পেনচাক সিলাট মার্শাল আর্টে। উত্তরাখণ্ডের দেরাদুনে অনুষ্ঠিত তৃতীয় অল ইন্ডিয়া পেনচাক সিলাট মার্শাল আর্ট চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপ। ২৯–৩১ জানুয়ারি হয় আসর। প্রতিযোগিতায় ত্রিপুরা দল অসাধারণ পারফরম্যান্স প্রদর্শন করে মোট ৮টি পদক জয় করেছে।এই জাতীয় স্তরের প্রতিযোগিতায় ত্রিপুরা থেকে মোট ১৪ জন খেলোয়াড় অংশগ্রহণ করেছিলেন।আসরে পদকজয়ী খেলোয়াড়রা হলেন— সিমরানুর রহমান, জয়েস দেবনাথ, তনয় দেবনাথ,তৃষা দেবনাথ, দেবাঞ্জনা সরকার, অস্মিতা দে, অনিক দাস এবং শিবাঙ্গি দাস। ৮ জনই ব্রোঞ্জ পদক জয় করেছেন।এই সাফল্যের পেছনে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকা পালন করেছেন ত্রিপুরা দলের কোচ উত্তম আচার্য্য এবং প্রান্তুস ঘোষ। তাঁদের দক্ষ প্রশিক্ষণ ও দিকনির্দেশনায় রাজ্যের খেলোয়াড়রা জাতীয় মঞ্চে নিজেদের প্রতিভার পরিচয় দিতে সক্ষম হয়েছেন।এই সাফল্যে ত্রিপুরা রাজ্যের ক্রীড়াজগত গর্বিত।
