বর্ণাঢ্য অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্য দিয়ে সূচনা হলো জাতীয় স্কুল দাবার। এনএসআরসিসি-র ইনডোর তথা জিমনাসিয়ামে বর্ণময় অনুষ্ঠান এবং উৎসাহ উদ্দীপনার মধ্য দিয়ে চার দিনব্যাপী ৬৯ তম জাতীয় স্কুল ক্রীড়ার অনূর্ধ্ব ১৭ দাবা আসরের। সারা দেশের ৩৩ টি রাজ্য ও কেন্দ্রশাসিত অঞ্চলের স্কুল পড়ুয়া অনূর্ধ্ব ১৭ বালক বালিকা দাবাড়ু-রা আজ, বৃহস্পতিবার থেকেই দাবা প্রতিযোগিতায় মেতে উঠেছেন। শুক্রবার দ্বিতীয় এবং তৃতীয় রাউন্ডের খেলা হবে। ২৯ নভেম্বর অর্থাৎ তৃতীয় দিনে হবে চতুর্থ ও পঞ্চম রাউন্ডের প্রতিযোগিতা। ৩০ নভেম্বর প্রতিযোগিতার শেষ দিনে ষষ্ঠ তথা শেষ রাউন্ডের খেলা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। আজ বিকেল পাঁচটায় শুরু হওয়া প্রথম রাউন্ডের খেলা শেষে নামিদামি খেলোয়াড়রাই এগিয়ে রয়েছেন। প্রতিযোগিতার উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠানে ক্রীড়া মন্ত্রী টিংকু রায়, ক্রীড়া সচিব প্রদীপ কুমার চক্রবর্তী ও ত্রিপুরা ক্রীড়া পর্ষদের সচিব সুকান্ত ঘোষ প্রমূখ উপস্থিত ছিলেন। অনুষ্ঠানে সভাপতিত্ব করেন ক্রীড়া অধিকর্তা এল ডার্লং। এছাড়া যুব বিষয়ক ও ক্রীড়া দপ্তরের যুগ্ম অধিকর্তা তথা ত্রিপুরা স্কুল স্পোর্টস বোর্ডের সচিব পাইমং মগ সহ দপ্তর এবং স্কুল স্পোর্টস বোর্ডের অন্য আধিকারিকরাও উপস্থিত ছিলেন। স্কুল গেমস ফেডারেশন অফ ইন্ডিয়ার দায়িত্বপ্রাপ্ত আধিকারিকরা উদ্বোধনী অনুষ্ঠান এবং খেলা শুরুর মুহূর্ত পর্যবেক্ষণ করে চ্যাম্পিয়নশিপ সাফল্যমন্ডিতভাবে শেষ হওয়ার প্রত্যাশা ব্যক্ত করেছেন।
