অঘটন ঘটালো কল্যাণ সমিতি। গেলবারের চ্যাম্পিয়নের পর এবার বিদায় নিলো গেলো বারের রানার্স দল। সোমবার কোয়ার্টার ফাইনালে গেলোবারের রানার্স রামকৃষ্ণ ক্লাবকে ন্যূনতম গোলে পরাজিত করে সেমিফাইনালে খেলা ছাড়পত্র অর্জন করে নিলো কল্যাণ সমিতি। রাজ্য ফুটবল সংস্থা আয়োজিত রাখাল শীল্ড নকআউট ফুটবল প্রতিযোগিতায়। উমাকান্ত মিনি স্টেডিয়ামে এদিন সন্ধ্যায় ফ্লাডলাইটে অনুষ্ঠিত হয় ম্যাচটি। শুরু থেকেই দু’দলের ফুটবলাররা আক্রমাত্মক ফুটবল খেলার চেষ্টা করলেও আক্রমণভাগের ফুটবলারদের ব্যর্থতায় জাল নাড়াতে পারেনি কোনও দলই। নির্ধারিত সময়ে দু’দলের ফুটবলাররাই বেশ কয়েকটি সুযোগ তৈরি করলেও আক্রমণভাগের ফুটবলারদের ব্যর্থতায় কোনও দলই জাল নাড়াতে ব্যর্থ হয়। ফলে ম্যাচ গড়ায় অতিরিক্ত সময়ে। অতিরিক্ত সময়ের দ্বিতীয়ার্ধে একটি কাউন্টার অ্যাটাকে গিয়ে কল্যাণ সমিতির পক্ষে জয় সূচক গোলটি করেন সিয়াম হাইপার হালাম। শেষ পর্যন্ত ওই গোলটি আর প্রতিশোধ করতে পারেননি কৌশিক রায়ের ছেলেরা। হালামের গোলে জয় পেয়ে সেমিফাইনালে খেলা ছাড়পত্র অর্জন করে নিলো আবু তাহেরের কল্যাণ সমিতি। ম্যাচটি পরিচালনা করেন বাজু টিস্যু।
