সারা দেশের সঙ্গে ত্রিপুরায়ও যথাযোগ্য মর্যাদা পালন করা হবে আন্তর্জাতিক দাবা দিবস। ২০ জুলাই আন্তর্জাতিক দাবা দিবস উপলক্ষে অনুষ্ঠিত হবে ব্লিটস দাবা প্রতিযোগিতা। আগামী বছরের শুরুর দিকেই জাতীয় ব্লিটস দাবা প্রতিযোগিতা অনুষ্ঠিত হবে ত্রিপুরায়। এই আসরে অংশগ্রহণের লক্ষ্যেই নির্বাচনী শিবির অনুষ্ঠিত হবে ২০ জুলাই। মঙ্গলবার সন্ধ্যায় রাজ্য দাবা সংস্থার সভাপতি অভিজিৎ মৌলিকের অফিস বাড়িতে অনুষ্ঠিত এক সভায় ওই সিদ্ধান্ত নেওয়া হয়। জানা গেছে, যে সকল দাবাড়ুরা নির্বাচনী শিবিরে অংশ নেবেন তারাই শুধুমাত্র জাতীয় আসরে খেলার যোগ্যতা অর্জন করতে পারবেন। মোট ৯ রাউন্ডের হবে আসর। আসরের প্রথম ১০ স্থানাধিকারী দাবাড়ুকে প্রাইজমানি দেওয়া হবে। এছাড়া অনূর্ধ্ব ৮, ১০,১২ এবং ১৪ বছর বিভাগে প্রথম ৩ স্থানাধীকারী দাবাড়ুকে পুরস্কৃত করা হবে। খেলা হবে এন এস আর সি সি-র দাবা হল ঘরে। অংশ নিতে ইচ্ছুক দাবাড়ুদের ৬০০ টাকা এন্ট্রি ফি সহ ১৮ জুলাইয়ের মধ্যে নাম নথিভুক্ত করতে বলেছেন রাজ্য দাবা সংস্থার সচিব মিঠু দেবনাথ। এদিকে এ বছরই প্রথম রাজ্যের কোনও দাবাড়ু আই আই টি-তে পড়ার সুযোগ পেয়েছেন। গুজরাটের গান্ধীনগরের আই আই টি তে পড়ার সুযোগ পেয়েছেন দাবাড়ু শুভ্রনীল মজুমদার। আন্তর্জাতিক দাবা দিবসের পুরস্কার বিতরণী অনুষ্ঠানে সংবর্ধনা জানানো হবে শুভ্রনীলকে। রাজ্য দাবা সংস্থার সচিব মিঠু দেবনাথ এ খবর জানিয়েছেন।
